Aradon Pty Ltd is owned and operated by the Kayes family.  The Kayes family has a long history of gemstone mining and processing in Australia, dating back to their first commercial mine in 1963.  This is the year the company's founder, Bert Kayes, started mining the world famous Marlborough Chrysoprase deposit in Queensland, Australia.  This was closely followed by the Mt Hay Thunderegg and Spherulitis Rhyolite (Rainforest Jasper) deposits.  Since 1986, the company has based its Queensland operations at these well known deposits.

In 1994, a factory was established in Malaga, a northern suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia.  From here the company's Western Australian interests have grown.  Today it operates 8 tenements for a range of gemstones, as well as processing its own stones at the cutting factory in Malaga.

From our own mines:  Thundereggs, Rainforest Jasper, Yellow Crazy Lace Agate, Printstone, Tiger Eye (including Marra Mamba), Picture Jasper, Duck Creek Jasper, Sunset Jasper, Brown Conglomerate, Green Prase and Pear Jade.

Other deposits:  Red Banded Iron, Tiger Iron, Mookaite, Lemon Chrysoprase, Moss Agate, Rhodonite, Chrysoprase, Moss Opalite, Prehnite, Amethyst, Orbicular Granite, massive Black Tourmaline, Peanut Wood and Petrified Wood.
